CALL FOR ENTRIES – SUMMMER CITY HALL ART EXHIBIT: INSPIRED BY WATER

City of Marquette Office of Arts and Culture is excited to announce a call for entries for the Summer City Hall Community Exhibit: Inspired by Water. Local artists are invited to submit a ready to hang art piece inspired by water. This exhibit is a kickoff to the City of Marquette Art Week 2022, What does WATER mean to you? For more information visit https://www.mqtcompass.com/artweek/

Eligibility
Non-juried, all ages. All artwork must be ready to hang on the wall with wire or loop hanger (no sawtooth). One entry per person. All artwork must be inspired by Water

Artwork can be dropped off at the City Arts and Culture Center (lower level of PWPL) during City office hours (M-F 10-5pm) through Wednesday June 15th or at City Hall (300 W Baraga) on Thursday June 16th between 10am and 5pm. Exhibit will be up June 20-September 29.

ART WEEK COMMUNITY ART EXHIBIT at ORE DOCK BREWING CO.

The City of Marquette Office of Arts & Culture and Ore Dock Brewing Company are excited to announce a call for entries for the What Water Wants to Be Community Art Exhibit, hosted in the Community Space of Ore Dock Brewing Company as part of this year’s City of Marquette Art Week, June 20-25, 2022.

Artwork can be dropped off at the City Arts and Culture Center (lower level of PWPL) during City office hours (M-F 10-5pm) through Wednesday June 15th. Exhibit will be up June 20-25.

2022 Fresh Coast Plein Air Painting Festival – Registration Open

Pre-registration is now open for the fifth annual Fresh Coast Plein Air Painting Festival! Painters of all skill levels are invited to take part in this annual Festival, which invites artists to paint scenes and scenery that have been inspired by the Marquette landscape and residents in the outdoors.

To pre-register to save on entry fees, submit by Thursday, June 23.

The fifth annual Fresh Coast Plein Air Painting Festival will be held at the historic Marquette Harbor Lighthouse Park in Marquette, Michigan on Friday & Saturday, June 24-25.

The Downtown Marquette Farmers Market (DMFM) is looking for farmers, growers, food producers, artisans, musicians, and local community organizations to be part of the 2022 market season. With flexible commitment options for full-time, part-time, and drop-in vendors, there is a wide array of opportunities for prospective vendors.
